From May 13 to 16, 2025, Mavin Group, in collaboration with World Vision International in Vietnam, organized a series of technical training sessions on duck farming for low-income households in three districts of Thanh Hoa province: Quan Hoa (May 13), Thuong Xuan (May 14), and Nhu Xuan (May 16). This activity is part of the two parties’ livelihood support partnership program for the 2025–2029 period.

During the training sessions, 232 households—along with World Vision’s local collaborators, agricultural extension officers, and veterinary staff—received direct instruction from Mavin Group’s technicians. The training focused on constructing appropriate duck shelters, brooding techniques, and care throughout the various growth stages. Key content included biosecurity, disease prevention, proper nutrition, and efficient use of feed. After the training, households will receive ducklings, feed, veterinary medicine, and continued technical support throughout the rearing period.
This year’s program builds on the success of the 2024 initiative, which supported 120 low-income households in Thuong Xuan and Quan Hoa districts. The project not only improved household income but also demonstrated the active participation and flexibility of the communities and project management, contributing to improved processes and reduced risk. Notably, the program helped expand the adoption of integrated livestock production models, empowering households with technical skills, increasing livelihoods, and enhancing long-term stability.
Immediately following the training, the program will distribute duck feed, veterinary medicine, and livestock supplies to all 232 households. Beyond economic support, the initiative also broadens opportunities for women and children in disadvantaged areas, contributing to the creation of self-sustaining and resilient communities.
