Dong Thap Students explore technology and career pathways with Mavin

How can knowledge of electrical and electronic engineering gained in the classroom be transformed into practical skills in the workplace? For students, the answer may sometimes begin with a field trip to a manufacturing facility.

Recently, the “Khát vọng trẻ” program of Dong Thap Television featured a hands-on learning experience for students of Dong Thap Community College at Mavin’s animal feed manufacturing plant in Dong Thap. The visit was part of the college’s efforts to help students gain early exposure to the corporate environment, develop a better understanding of their future career fields, and take a more proactive approach to shaping their academic and career paths.

On August 15, 2026, students from the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology class visited and explored Mavin’s manufacturing operations. During the visit, they had the opportunity to observe the Robot Area and Central Control Room firsthand - key areas closely associated with automation systems and production technologies at the animal feed manufacturing plant.

More than simply a field trip, the experience at Mavin helped students gain a clearer understanding of how machinery, equipment, and control systems are applied in a real-world manufacturing environment. It also gave them an opportunity to reflect on the knowledge they are acquiring in the classroom and identify the skills and competencies they need to further develop.

Sharing her experience during the program, one student said that the visit helped her better understand how machinery operates and how real-world operations are connected to the knowledge she is currently learning. The experience also provided students with a clearer basis for assessing whether their current learning and career direction align with their personal interests and aspirations.

Accompanying the students during the visit, Mr. Truong Thanh Liem, Deputy Director of Mavin’s Dong Thap Plant, shared insights into the company’s technology-driven working environment and the practical requirements of the industry. He also encouraged the students to proactively assess their current capabilities and consider what they need to focus on learning, explore further, and develop in order to be well prepared for their careers after graduation.

The visit also reflected the spirit of the cooperation between Mavin and Dong Thap Community College, which was formally established through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on April 15, 2025. Through this partnership, the college creates opportunities for students to gain exposure to the real-world working environment from the early stages of their studies, while Mavin has the opportunity to contribute to the education and development of the next generation of young talent.

For Mavin, supporting education is not simply about recruitment after students graduate. It is also about helping young people understand what businesses expect, how technology is evolving, and what they need to prepare from today.

Because when the gap between the classroom and the factory is narrowed, every lesson gains a clearer purpose—and every student gains stronger foundations for entering the world of work in the future.
