Mavin Dong Thap Factory welcomes Australian Embassy Delegation

As part of the working visit to Dong Thap Province, the delegation from the Australian Embassy in Vietnam, led by H.E. Gillian Bird – Australian Ambassador to Vietnam, held a meeting with provincial leaders and visited the Mavin Austfeed Dong Thap Feedmill, one of the representative investment projects of Australian-invested enterprises in the agriculture–food sector in the Mekong Delta region.

On the afternoon of March 12, 2026, H.E. Gillian Bird, together with Ms. Sarah Hooper – Australian Consul-General in Ho Chi Minh City, and members of the delegation visited the Mavin Austfeed Dong Thap Feedmill.

Representing Mavin Group in welcoming the delegation were Mr. David John Whitehead – Chairman of the Board, along with representatives of the Feed Division’s Board of Management and the Management Board of Mavin Austfeed Dong Thap Feedmill.

During the visit, the delegation toured the modern animal feed production line and listened to an introduction about Mavin Group’s development journey in Vietnam, as well as its orientation toward building a sustainable agriculture–food value chain.

Earlier, on the afternoon of March 11, 2026, at the working session between leaders of the Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee and the delegation from the Australian Embassy, Mr. David John Whitehead attended and shared about Mavin Group’s 22-year development journey in Vietnam, as well as its investment projects in Dong Thap Province in the agriculture–food sector. Mavin was honored to be one of the two major Australian-invested enterprises in the Mekong Delta invited to share at the high-level meeting.

The series of working sessions and site visits by the Australian Embassy delegation contributed to strengthening cooperation between Australia, Dong Thap Province, and enterprises investing in the agricultural sector. At the same time, the presence of the high-level delegation reflected the interest and confidence of international partners in the development potential of modern agriculture in Vietnam.
