Deputy Minister of Agriculture visit Mavin’s Aquaculture Export Center

On 05 October 2018, Mavin Group has the honour to welcome the delegates from MARD to visit Mavin’s Aquaculture Export Center in Hoa Binh.

Within the delegates are Mr. Tran Thanh Nam – Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Tran Dinh Luan – Vice Director of the General Aquaculture Department, as well as other officials from MARD and Hoa Binh’s People Committee and Da Bac district…

Established on Hoa Binh lake (Hien Luong, Da Bac, Hoa Binh), the Center implement advanced farming technology, high productivity and providing good aquaculture breed, suitable with Vietnam natural condition and create a safe zone for raw material used in exporting. The fish breed used in the Center are: carp, red tilapia, which are the ones Mavin are specialized in. The project was first started in mid-2018 and is expected to start exporting by the end of 2019.

The Center is designed to hold 100 circular cages, with total capacity of 10,000 tonnes of fish annually. Mavin is implementing circular cage technology from Norway but with slight adjustment to fit with the condition of raising fresh water fish in Vietnam’s lakes. This technology has been implemented very successful in neighbouring countries such as Malaysia and Myanmar

Witnessing the large scale and advance technology of the Center, Deputy Minister Tran Thanh Nam congratulate and praise Mavin for its effort. Deputy Prime Minister expect that this model will be the pioneering model of Northern provinces, contribute greatly to the aquaculture export of Vietnam


The Center has over 100 Norwegian cages with the capacity of 10,000 tonnes of tilapia and red tilapia/year
