Mavin to sponsor Investment Promotion Conference of Dong Thap

On 27 September  2018, in Ho Chi Minh City - Mavin Group participated in the Conference of investment promotion coordination between Dong Thap province and Australian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (Auscham) as a sponsor and a bridge between Dong Thap Province and foreign investors.

With the slogan "Our Potential - Your Opportunity", the Conference were attended by representatives from Ministries and nearly 200 enterprises, foreign investors. Accordingly, Dong Thap province coordinated with Can Tho, An Giang, Tien Giang, Ben Tre and Long An provinces to promote their potentials, policies, investment opportunities, projects calling for investment as well as showcase typical products of each province.

At the Conference, Mr. David John Whitehead, Chairman of Mavin Group cum Auscham Director, introduced Mavin Group and investment projects in Dong Thap as well as in the Mekong Delta region. Mavin’s Chairman also chaired the discussion session of Dong Thap - Auscham with investors, and proposed the idea of connecting provinces to promote investment to Dong Thap and the region.

Witnessed by Dong Thap province's leaders and investors, Mavin Group and Dong Thap province also signed Memorandum of Understanding on investment cooperation.

Delivering closing speech, Mr. Nguyen Van Duong, Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee sent his sincere thanks to Investors, especially Mavin Group, for their commitment to accompany and develop with the province.

Mavin Group is a good example of successful investment in Dong Thap. Mavin’s first project was a Feedmill in Cai Tau Ha Industrial Zone, Chau Thanh district.  The total investment of this feedmill is 675 billion vnd and it started stable production in June 2018. Mavin is also beginning 2nd project, which is an Advanced Technology breeding research centre with an area of 45 ha in Cao Lanh district, and it will provide the market with 70 thousand piglets, 4 million breeding ducks and 6 million breeding chickens. Mavin expect to start 3rd project – a food processing plant – within the next 2 years.
