The signing ceremony of the MOU between Zoetis Vietnam and Mavin Group
On 26/6, Mavin Group and Zoetis Vietnam have signed the Memorial of Understanding upon the collaboration in Veterinary Pharmaceutical.
Attending the signing ceremony are Mr. Do Ngoc Hoang – General Director of Zoetis Vietnam, Mr. David John Whitehead – Chairman of Mavin Group and Mr. Dao manh Luong – General Director of Mavin Group, Cai Lay Veterinary Pharmaceutical Management Board, managers from both sides and Agriculture Newspaper reporters.
Zoetis is the world largest company in animal health care with 2016 revenue reaching $4.9 billion. Zoetis’ strength is R&D with nearly 1000 employees working in this department and annual R&D expense of nearly $400 million.
In Vietnam, Mavin Group is currently owning 50 large scale swine farm. They have successfully intergrated the supply chain “From Farm to Table”. The Corporation is planning to carry out more projects in Vietnam as well as ASEAN countries.
Mavin has 7 animal feed production, food production and veterinary pharmaceutical plants, 9 member companies and 7 warehouses from North to South Vietnam. Mavin has been in cooperation with 400 suppliers. Mavin’s goal in 2020 is to become one of the top 10 largest Agriculture Company.
Meanwhile, detail planning on each field are as follow: 500,000 commercial porker; 50,000 sows; 500,000 tonnes of animal feed; 500 billion VND of revenue in Food; 250 billion VND of revenue in Veterinary Pharmaceutical (in which targeted revenue of the MOU signed with Zoetis is $5 million = 115 billion VND); 6000 billion VND revenue total.

A very clear example is the completion of Veterinary Pharmaceutical plant in accordance to WHO GMP standard in Cai Lay, Tien Giang, which include 4 fully automatic production line for injections, oral and powdered drugs with total investment of over 90 billion VND. Our main target is to made Cai Lay Vetco to become one of the largest Veterinary Pharmaceutical Company in Vietnam. Therefore we have chosen Zoetis as our partner because it is the largest distributor of animal health care in the world and they can provide us what are needed for the business: Reputation, Quality and Prestige. We wish that both can co-operate to Sustainable Develop the Agriculture of Vietnam” – said Mr. David John Whitehead, Chairmain of Mavin Group.
