Mavin Joins Civic Orientation Week for VNUA Freshmen

Hanoi, September 9, 2025 – At the Civic Orientation Week event for the 70th cohort of freshmen at Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA), Mavin Group participated as a speaker delivering a session on human resources in livestock agriculture.

The event was attended by over 1,000 freshmen of the 70th class. This meaningful activity helps new students be ideologically oriented, sharpen skills, ignite the spirit of learning, and better envision their future career path.

As the keynote speaker, Mr. Phạm Ngọc Khỏe — Deputy Director of Mavin Pigfarm (Mavin Livestock Corporation) — shared with the 70th cohort his valuable experiences and advice in career orientation and personal development during their university years. Deputy Director Khỏe emphasized: “Vietnam’s agriculture sector is growing strongly with many new opportunities… this imposes a great demand for human resources not only having professional expertise but also possessing an internationally integrative mindset.”

From a recruitment perspective, Mr. Phạm Ngọc Khỏe candidly stated: “When recruiting, we do not only look at diplomas but also evaluate practical knowledge, teamwork skills, adaptability, and the candidate’s progressive attitude. These are key factors for students to succeed upon entering the labor market.” He also encouraged students to proactively take internships and accumulate experience while still studying, considering them essential tools to launch a career.

Within the program framework, to provide a comprehensive view of job opportunities in a large agricultural corporation and help the freshmen form a clear career orientation from the start, representatives from Mavin Pigfarm’s Human Resources department introduced students to current job openings at Mavin. The specific positions presented helped students picture which roles match their field of study, as well as the skills required to be ready for the future.

A proud highlight is that many of Mavin’s senior executives today graduated from VNUA. This is clear proof that the career development opportunities at Mavin remain open to generations of VNUA students.

Mavin’s participation in the Civic Orientation Week not only offers students a realistic view of the job market but also demonstrates its commitment to partnering in education and developing young human resources.
