10 milestones of Mavin Group in 2019

2019 is a turbulent year for Vietnam's livestock industry in general and Mavin Group in particular. The African Swine Fever “storm”, which swept through 63 provinces, has made the swine industry face an unprecedented crisis. This crisis also brought many difficulties for the livestock industry, including Mavin Group.

However, thanks to drastically implementing synchronous, creative and methodical solutions, Mavin has successfully maintained the farm system, achieving remarkable progresses in production and business activities. 10 achievements of the system in 2019 have shown Mavin's sustainable development and bravery to overcome challenges:

Event 1: Officially deploying and applying ERP SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Resource Management software for the Feed industry, opening the process of digitizing the Group's operation in the 5-year period 2019-2023.

In 2019, Mavin has officially implemented and applied ERP SAP S/ 4HANA enterprise resource management software for the animal feed industry.

Starting from 18 April 2019, after 7 months of implementation efforts, on 4 November 2019, all activities of the animal feed industry have been digititalized with the application of SAP S/4HANA software -The world's most advanced business management software.

This is the opening project for digitalizing the Group's operations in the period of 5 years from 2019 to 2023 with the vision to build Mavin into the most innovative digital corporation in agriculture of Vietnam.

Event 2: Accredited by leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as a few businesses in Vietnam are able to sustain the swine herd from the risk of African Swine fever (ASF), thanks to the efforts of control biosecurity, apply a set of 3 layers of protection at the  farms.

In the context of the widespread outbreak of ASF, Mavin has strengthened its solutions to protect the breeding facilities, especially developed a set of 3 protective layers on Group farms.

Thanks to these efforts, Mavin has been recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as a small number of businesses in Vietnam able to sustain the swine herd from the risk of infection with ASF.

Event 3: The second time in 8 years to be recognized as Best Asian Feed Miller Sustainability Company (Asian Feed Miller Sustainability Award) by Asian AgriBusiness magazine.

The criterion selected by Asian Agribusiness Magazine to honor this year is the animal feed business with investment and commitment to sustainable development.

Overcoming many competitors in the region, Mavin has excellently been awarded this most prestigious award in the region, recognized as the best animal feed company - the most sustainable development in Asia in 2019.

Event 4: The sixth consecutive Golden Dragon Prize for the best foreign-invested enterprise.

2019 is the 6th consecutive year Mavin was honored as one of the best foreign-invested companies in Vietnam and awarded the Golden Dragon Cup 2019.

The Golden Dragon Prize is an idea of the Vietnam Economic Times, initiated and held annually since 2001. Businesses are voted and honored on the following criteria: excellent performance, actively innovate, convert digital and endeavor for the development of the community.

Event 5: Continue to be one of the 500 largest enterprises in Vietnam.

2019 is also the 6th consecutive year Mavin continues to stand in the VNR500 ranking - the ranking of the 500 largest enterprises in Vietnam.

VNR500 is evaluated according to FORTUNE 500 MODEL - based on independent research and evaluation results in accordance with international standards of Vietnam Report Company, which is periodically published annually from 2007 by VietnamNet Newspaper, with the consultation of domestic and foreign experts.

Event 6: Mavin’s animal feed factories in Nghe An and Dong Thap are recognized as hi-tech applied agricultural enterprises.

On October 1, 2019, Mavin Austfeed Nghe An and Dong Thap factories officially received the decision to be recognized as high-tech agricultural enterprises.

The consecutive recognition of 2 high-tech application factories is an affirmation of investment in high technology, ready for Mavin digitalization.

Event 7: Receiving investment policy of a 2,000-hectare aquaculture project in Nam Du - Kien Giang.

Catching the trend of developing marine culture, Mavin Group has studied the implementation of a large-scale marine fish farming project, applying modern European farming technology to produce high-quality marine fish, serving domestic demand and export.

Mavin's Kien Giang project has a total area of 2,000 hectares of sea surface, with aquaculture products of high economic value such as sea bass, grouper, yellow fin pompano ... export 30,000 tons of sea fish of all kinds per year. The total invested capital of the Project is USD 30 million, which is expected to officially operate stably from 2021.

Event 8: Receive investment policy of a 40ha chicken breeding center project and a 72ha pig breeding center project in K’Bang district, Gia Lai province.

In 2019, Mavin has officially invested in K’bang district, Gia Lai with 2 projects of 72 hectares of pig center and 40 hectares of chicken center. These projects will apply the latest technology in the livestock industry, with a total investment of nearly VND 1,000 billion.

In particular, pig breeding will apply sustainable thinking with the smart farm building, saving space and resources, which Mavin is the first and only company in Vietnam to apply this technology.

Event 9: Official expansion abroad to Laos and Cambodian market.

2019 is the year that Mavin has reached the sea with the development of animal feed business in Laos and Cambodia.

For the first time, Mavin's animal feed products have been delivered to people in your country and have been well received, highly appreciated for their design, quality, and support for Lao and Cambodian farmers to develop their livestock. 

Event 10: Officially implementing chicken and duck raising activities

Since 2019, Mavin has a strategic cooperation with the French Sasso Breeding Company, selecting and developing the chicken breeds of the Mavin 233 chicken and the Mavin 232 chicken with advanced genetic features, for productivity and economic efficiency. high.

From October 2019, Mavin breed chicken products have been officially distributed nationwide.

Mavin has also imported Grimaud's parent duck breeds (France) and Cherry Valley (England), selected to create and develop commercial duck breeds Mavin Grimaud 531 and Mavin Cherry 536. Mavin’s ducks have come to farmers in all parts of the country.

Mavin has invested in a parent duck farm in Thai Hung - Thai Binh with the most modern breeding technology in Southeast Asia, with a total investment of up to 3 million USD, is the only company applying the technology of barn floor in duck breeding.
