Griffith University Students Explore Sustainable Agriculture at Mavin

On October 31, 2024, at Mavin Group’s headquarters, a delegation of international students from Griffith University, Australia, visited to learn about Vietnam’s agricultural sector and Mavin Group’s journey of establishment and development in the country.

Mr. David John Whitehead, Chairman of Mavin Group, warmly welcomed the delegation and shared insights with the students.

He began the session with an introduction to Mavin's areas of operation, its Environmental and Social Policy, community responsibility initiatives, and achievements after 20 years of establishment and growth in Vietnam. Mr. Whitehead also spoke about Mavin Group's close connection with Australia, highlighting his relationships with Australian senior leaders in his role as Director of the Australian Business Association in Vietnam.

The session grew more engaging as Griffith students enthusiastically asked about Mavin’s 20-year journey, the application of technology, human resource training and development, export markets, and more. Environmental protection and emission reduction, in particular, garnered significant interest, leading Mr. Whitehead to explain Mavin’s sustainable development approach and practical actions, such as implementing energy-saving technologies at its farms. Students were also eager to learn about Mr. Whitehead's personal life in Vietnam, his reasons for choosing to invest here, his early startup journey, and his experiences working with Vietnamese people and culture…

The visit concluded with a tour of Mavin Group's headquarters, where the students experienced firsthand the professional work environment of Mavin’s staff. Griffith students expressed their admiration for Mavin Group's 20-year journey in Vietnam and enjoyed the unique learning experience and practical insights gained from visiting one of Vietnam’s leading agricultural enterprises.
