On 24/04/2024, in Thuong Xuan District, Thanh Hoa Province, within the framework of the Support Project for Difficult Areas in Vietnam, the Mavin Group collaborated with World Vision Vietnam to organize a training and technology transfer event for meat chicken farming.
The event was attended by 120 poor farming households from six villages: Lương Sơn, Thọ Thanh, Xuân Cao, Luận Thành, Luận Khê, and Thị trấn Thường Xuân, as well as veterinary base staff and local partners from World Vision Vietnam.
Technical staff from Mavin guided the farmers through the process of meat chicken farming.
At the training session, Mavin technical staff shared about the process of raising broiler ducks from the stage of ducking to slaughter, including: instructions on barn making techniques, barn cleaning, how to care for and nurture ducks, how to mix feed with agricultural by-products... In particular, the topic of disease prevention is interested in people and asks many questions such as: common diseases, how to prevent them, related drugs and vaccines, as well as important notes related to the health of ducks that people often encounter in the breeding process.
In order to best support, Mavin's technical staff also surveyed the homes of some households and assessed the breeding conditions, instructing how to renovate the barn to ensure the best health for animals to develop without incurring much cost.

Before that, Mavin will also have training programs, field surveys to guide farmers on the best preparation steps for highly effective breeding.
Farmers in Thường Xuân District are participating in training on the poultry farming process.
In the 3-year period from 2022 to 2024, Mavin Group and World Vision Vietnam have jointly implemented a livelihood support package worth USD 100,000 in Thuong Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province. More than 400 poor, ethnic minority households with women and children received help from the program. According to statistics in recent years, households after participating in this program, besides adding income to improve their lives, also achieved the most important goal of improving their livelihoods, confidently continuing to raise ducks, owning a profession to escape poverty. Each household will also continue to contribute about 10% of the income from the program to the general fund to spread the livestock model and support other poor households in the area.
