On 13/12/2023, the Australian Embassy in Vietnam held a banquet to honor and pay tribute to "50 stories" – 50 individuals who have made important contributions to the 50-year journey of Australia-Vietnam diplomatic relations.
At the event, Mr. David John Whitehead – Chairman of Mavin Group was one of the "stories" recognized and grateful. Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Andrew Goledzinowski directly congratulated President Mavin and thanked David for his contributions in promoting diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Chairman Mavin also holds many important responsibilities such as Chairman of Auscham in Hanoi, Head of the Agricultural Working Group of the Vietnam Business Forum.
"50 stories celebrating the 50th anniversary of Australia-Vietnam relations" is an initiative of the Australian Embassy to celebrate and pay tribute to the partnerships, initiatives and successful commitments across the breadth of Australia-Vietnam relations: from education, trade and investment, agriculture and security to health, human rights, social enterprise and the customer service industry.
