Vietnam Livestock Association: Visit Mavin Nghe An Animal Feed Factory

On July 13, 2023, in Nghe An province, the Vietnam Livestock Association led by Chairman Nguyen Xuan Duong visited Mavin Austfeed Nghe An Feedmill, which belongs to Mavin Group.

Overview of the meeting

The delegation had the Leaders of the Association; member of the Standing Committee of the Association; heads, deputies, subordinate units and officers of the Association's offices. Welcoming the delegation were Mr. Dao Manh Luong, General Director of Mavin Group and the Group's employees.

Mavin Austfeed Nghe An Animal Feed Factory was built and put into operation in 2017, is the 4th animal feed factory of the Group. This is a modern animal feed factory, applying the latest technologies in the world in animal feed production with an area of over 36,000 m2, a total investment of VND 325 billion with a capacity of 300 thousand tons of animal feed products per year. The factory serves the market of Nghe An and North Central provinces, employs about 300 workers and contributes over VND 100 billion per year to the local budget.

At the meeting, General Director of Mavin Group, Mr. Dao Manh Luong shared with the Association about international standard animal feed production methods, introducing new technologies and trends in the industry. Along with that is the construction of a large production scale and equipped with modern equipment, contributing to affirming Mavin's commitment to providing high quality and safe animal feed for the livestock industry.

"Through the affection that the Vietnam Livestock Association has for Mavin, we hope that in this meeting, the two sides can share and exchange more information. Mavin is one of the members of the Association and we wish to become an active member of the Association, bringing our knowledge to contribute to the sustainable development of Vietnam's livestock industry. Mavin wishes to spread the pig breeding model according to new technology to improve productivity and reduce production costs. In addition to the pig industry, in the future, we will continue to deploy ducks – one of Mavin's key farming subjects", Mr. Dao Manh Luong expressed.

At the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Duong, Chairman of Vietnam Livestock Association highly appreciated the contributions of Mavin Group in recent years to Vietnam's livestock industry.

"Mavin is a multi-industry enterprise in the field of animal husbandry in Vietnam, operating in a closed chain model. With the spirit of "The Association chooses Mavin – Mavin chooses the Association", the two sides will cooperate with each other to develop. The association along with livestock industry associations will always stand side by side with businesses, including Mavin", Dr. Nguyen Xuan Duong shared.

Also during the business trip, the Association had the opportunity to visit Mavin Group's high-tech pig farm in Anh Son district, Nghe An province. Here the delegation was introduced about the process of caring, nurturing and managing breeding pigs by advanced methods applying the latest information technology in production,  help improve performance and enhance productivity and product quality.

"From a distance, Mavin's farm looks like a miniature hydroelectric power. Without direct visits and introductions, I would not have been able to imagine this being a pig farm. After directly visiting and learning, I think it can be called a "pig factory" because of the scale and advanced and modern technologies that the farm is applying", Dr. Nguyen Xuan Duong expressed.

The meeting between the Vietnam Livestock Association and Mavin Austfeed Nghe An successfully left a good impression for the visiting delegation, reinforcing the strong cooperation relationship between the two sides in improving productivity, quality and efficiency of livestock production in Vietnam.

At the end of the meeting, the Association and Mavin Group had a Gala Dinner. Here, on behalf of the Association, Chairman Nguyen Xuan Duong presented a painting to Mavin Group with the meaning of wishing Mavin will continue to reach further, bringing Vietnam's livestock industry to develop more in a sustainable direction, in accordance with Mavin's mission and vision.
